In Memoriam

With the fifth anniversary of Julian's death just passed, I thought I'd share my eulogy from his funeral. Julian: You are missed, you are loved, you are remembered.

In the Company of Men

My legs were screaming "why are you doing this to us?", and my ego was going through the equivalent of a market correction.

Connecting through Feedback

Last night, after our NVC course, I hosted a "Feedback Gifting Circle" at WindSong.
We'd learned about this technique in our Facilitator instructor's course, and I had been looking forward to trying it here - In the last year we have talked several times about the desire to have more "Feelings Meetings" instead of just "Business Meetings".

An Ideal Sunday

Yesterday was about as good as they come. After sleeping in late and snuggling with Aimée, we got up and hastily prepped some apple muffins for Brunch. (Aimée did the lion's share of the work, I peeled 'em, and got a couple of things ready and taken down to the common house). There we had a marvellous time talking, laughung, and hanging out with a small clutch of our friends and neighbours - generally us 'youngsters', both in age and in time at WindSong - Susan McFee, Skylark, the Kellers, Aimée and I, Sarah and friend, and Trevor and Gillian.

The Sound of Silence: Music

Last night at our weekly jam session it was just Shane, Michael and I. I was particularly struck by how well the dynamics were sounding - it felt like we were all fairly well tuned to the sound of the room and to what each other was doing.
