Post Pattern Language Plummet

From April 16th-18th I had the good fortune to work with an amazing team on the development of a Pattern Language for group dynamics. I'll be writing more about that soon, but for the moment, I'll relay what came afterwards.

On the Sunday evening, just as we were wrapping up the work portion of the weekend, I found myself feeling a little off so went to bed early. Even as I went, my legs were beginning to shake, but by the time I was lying down, my whole body was shaking, and I was alternating between being frozen through to overheating.

Thanks to a ride home, I was spared the three hour bus trip home in this state, and have spent most of the last week in  bed. By now, most of the worst symptoms have gone, but there are a few interesting side effects that have remained:

First, I have an interesting tinitis: a high pitch that's been with me since that Monday, which used to be quite loud but is now rather soft (I've had tinitis for quite some time, and it's on occasion been intense or unique at periods of fairly great personal transition).

Second, the top of my head is quite sensitive, right around the Crown Chakra area. The feeling is vaguely similar to two days after being struck on the head by something - not a sharp pain, but a sensitivity. At times this would seem more like a pressure.

Interestingly, no one else who was there to my knowledge has gotten sick.

Not being able to do anything but lie around and think for two days was generally interesting. I was somewhat amused thinking that only a week after singing the praise of the enforced 'downtime' I had when I locked my keys in the car, came such a major chunk of downtime. I'm hoping to be able to use it as a sort of reboot, or recalibration - a prolonged interrupt of my usual daily patterns that can help me choose new ones.

We'll see what comes of it. For now - I'll take the time to write down some of the thoughts that were piling up beforehand, and some of the ones that came during my downtime.

Hee! That crazy, hilarious Universe of Ours!
So glad you're feeling so much better.
When my soul is shifting, I get a tingling -so intense it feels like pressure- in my head. The first time this happened, I thought it was lack of food/sleep but I eventually noted the pattern. Neat.
